Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end account management for a portfolio of mid to senior-level clients, acting as the primary point of contact and owning the client relationship.

  • Collaborate with creative, strategy and production teams to deliver brand identity, campaigns, redesigns and other client deliverables on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.

  • Define, monitor and report on project budgets, timelines, resource allocation and profitability; anticipate risks and escalate where needed.

  • Champion client briefs: interpret business and brand strategy, translating them into actionable project specifications, ensuring the team understands scope, objectives and deliverables.

  • Build long-term strategic relationships with clients: identify opportunities for growth, upsell additional services, and support new business development initiatives.

  • Provide thought leadership by advising clients on brand strategy, market positioning, creative direction and industry trends, helping them to evolve and elevate their brands.

  • Maintain clear, regular communication with clients and internal teams; organise and lead stakeholder meetings, status reports, presentations and workshops.

  • Ensure all client and agency processes (contracts, invoicing, deadlines, approvals) are adhered to and continuously improved.

  • Mentor and support junior account team members, facilitating knowledge transfer, best-practice account management and team cohesion.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in account management within a creative, branding or design agency environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen: able to manage budgets, forecast costs, drive profitability and negotiate effectively with clients and suppliers.

  • Excellent communicator: confident presenting to senior client stakeholders, clearly articulating strategy, creative rationale and project status.

  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset: able to engage with brand strategy, insight, narrative and visual identity beyond executional delivery.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented: capable of managing multiple concurrent projects, anticipating blockers, adjusting timelines and keeping deliverables on track.

  • Collaborative team player: comfortable working across disciplines (creative, production, strategy), promoting a collective approach to delivering outstanding work.

  • Proactive problem-solver: able to identify, escalate or resolve issues early, adapt to change and maintain project momentum.

  • Strong presentation, workshop and stakeholder facilitation skills, with confidence in guiding discussions toward clear outcomes.

  • Flexible and adaptable: effective in a fast-paced agency environment, managing evolving briefs, last-minute changes and shifting priorities.
