Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the agency’s business development strategy, identifying and nurturing new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Manage the full new-business pipeline, from lead generation and qualification through to proposal development, pitch preparation, and conversion.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape compelling narratives that communicate the agency’s capabilities, case studies, and strategic thinking.
  • Develop and manage the agency’s marketing plan, covering digital presence, social media, email outreach, events, PR coordination, and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Maintain and evolve the agency’s credentials materials, website content, and portfolio to ensure consistent, high-quality representation of its work.
  • Conduct research into industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic growth decisions.
  • Organise and oversee marketing campaigns, showcase events, awards submissions, and profile-raising activities.
  • Collaborate with internal creative and strategy teams to craft tailored responses to briefs and new-business requests.
  • Track and report on the performance of business development and marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients, industry partners, and relevant media to enhance the agency’s visibility and network.

Key Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in business development and / or marketing within a design or creative agency environment, or intermediary / new business agency.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: able to craft compelling messages, tailor content to prospects, write press releases and response documents.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities (inbound enquiries, outreach campaigns, social media, events/awards).

  • Digital and social media savvy: you understand how to manage and optimise website content, LinkedIn and other channels for agency visibility and lead-generation.

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) for pipeline tracking and lead-management processes, as well as LinkedIn Sales Navigator / Lemlist.
