New Business

  • Execute the new business plan in line with agreed ideal-client profiles and target sectors.
  • Undertake proactive outreach to new client targets (via email, LinkedIn, events etc) based on our defined sectors and client profiles.
  • Manage all inbound enquiries, including responses to RFIs and RFPs: triage, draft responses, coordinate internal input and follow-up.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team on pipeline reporting, strategy review, outreach metrics and new business forecasting.
  • Monitor and report on key marketing/new business metrics (number of leads, conversion, pipeline size, web/social metrics etc).
  • Maintain and update CRM/new business pipeline system, ensuring all outreach, meetings, follow-ups, and stages are recorded and up to date.

Agency Brand

  • Manage and optimise the agency website and social presence (including LinkedIn, Instagram etc), ensuring our tone and case-studies are relevant and compelling.
  • Draft press releases and collaborate with department heads to identify newsworthy work, client wins, thought-leadership and agency commentary.
  • Manage the awards and events calendar: identify relevant awards/entry deadlines, coordinate internal input for submissions, track outcomes, support event participation.
  • Support internal teams to build case-studies, credentials and client success stories that feed both the new business and marketing programmes.
  • Participate in networking, industry events and agency visibility activities to build profile and meet prospective clients.

Key Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in business development and / or marketing within a design or creative agency environment, or intermediary / new business agency.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: able to craft compelling messages, tailor content to prospects, write press releases and response documents.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities (inbound enquiries, outreach campaigns, social media, events/awards).

  • Digital and social media savvy: you understand how to manage and optimise website content, LinkedIn and other channels for agency visibility and lead-generation.

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) for pipeline tracking and lead-management processes, as well as LinkedIn Sales Navigator / Lemlist.

  • Proactive, self-starter mindset: you relish the chase, enjoy outreach, and are comfortable initiating contact with new prospects.
  • Eager to learn and comfortable working across departments.
  • Commercially aware and hungry for growth: you are motivated by results and want to contribute measurably to agency success.
  • A genuine interest in branding, design and creative communications – you understand what creative agencies can do for brands, and can learn to speak credibly about it.
